ANIMETHON 20

AHH get ready for something long again >w>

So, Animethon 20 might've been my last convention for a whiiiile since I'll be studying in a new school in a different city come this fall. I wanted to go with a bang, but I couldn't do all the things I planned which include:

Having an SnK print
...a Mass Effect print
...a LOT more other prints & buttons
Putting up little cutouts of SnK characters with thread attached all over my display with a big Colossal Titan head cutout on top (I REALLY WANTED TOOO)
Making the 3DM gear for my cosplay
Giving out free potatoes for SnK stuff bought ('s idea lol)
Walking around the con more
ETC ETC ETC

So yes, before the con, prep was again... really bad lol. I procrastinated soooo bad OTL I tried so hard to finish my SnK print in time, I didn't sleep, I almost threw up probably from skipping meals, etc. And I left making buttons to last minute that I didn't finish all I wanted to the friday night before artist alley. At least now I won't rush my SnK print (hopefully) and can fix it coz right now the colouring is so ugly. Kinda glad I didn't rush that to finish. I really need to work on not being so bad at managing my time. That would be problematic come school time O A O

OH amazing thing happened at the printing place for my posters xD I was wondering why they finished later then they usually do, and turns out they printed my order twice because the first time used the wrong paper, and they let me have all of it. So that meant double everythiiiiing. Loool. Best mistake they EVER made, and ya, they've done lotta mistakes since I've been using them :/

Oh ya so I cosplayed this year as Levi-heichouuuu. and I both cosplayed for SnK~~ We bought everything mostly since I can't really make anything xD But yea, even tho it was HOT AS HELL WEARING IT ALL i'm just glad I have the uniforrrm ; 3 ; And ppl even took pictures which I'm really not so keen about but but ya I agreed to BUT I CANT ACT OR GET INTO CHARA AT ALL OTL sorry anyone who took a pic of me. Oh, if anyone did and is reading this, could you please send me the image or link me? I feel weird whenever there are pics of me somewhere I don't know of o A o

EDIT: did i mention.... i got a reeeeally short hair cut for this cosplay... i mean, it was SO SHORT my mom flipped when she saw it, and my dad said i looked like a fart. Lol. never again.

I really need to work on getting better at commissions maaaan. Haha. Oh, a commissioner I got I actually recognized as the person who commissioned me a looong time ago but didn't pick it up so I was really glad I could give it to her after so long xD

So sales were best so far this con, but not super proud because I was hoping to make a lot more than at Otafest, but it was only slightly. I guess I shouldn't have expected much with my procrastination and the fact that Otafest was only 3 months ago, a month of that spent in the Philippines too (Not that I ever work on stuff 3 months in advance to cons OTL)
My Dramatical Murder poster did SURPRISINGLY WELL. Happy because I really like how it turned out. Every time someone pointed DMMd out, I got uber excited~~~ O U O ALL YALL WHO DID OR EVEN BOUGHT ONE ARE COOL~~ WE SHARED A BOND THAT DAAAAAY~ I thought I sold out on Saturday of both my original stock and the other paper stock, but found out during the last half of Sunday's AA hours that I actually had 5 more posters left eeeeep. Sorry anyone who might've wanted to buy but it was 'sold out' ; A ; I can at least recall one person..
I sold out of my Free! poster, but it definitely did slowly on the Saturday compared to when I had it on Otafest. I think it's coz I was only one of a few that actually had anything Free! since the anime wasn't even out xP I actually had the other paper stock still, but OH GOSH they turned out SO BAD on that paper. I ended up giving my discoloured Free! posters for free (lolololitsfreegetitlolol) to people who wanted (and didn't want) it hahaha.
So my only SnK stuff were buttons of Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Levi. Yeahh.... Those sold out within first day... OTL I'm reeeally bad at predicting how much to sell = m =

OH YA i should mention my assistant. Not my bro this time, but a family friend who's muuuuch better help than my bro xD THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU.

As for con events, I reeeeally didn't go to any OTL. Any highlights woulda been that Kanon Wakeshima walked by my table a few times and even looked at my stufffff, but I wasn't directly sitting at it, but was several feet away AND I didn't even recognize that it was her til later xP Also got to see one of the Visual Kei band members walk by too, he had cool hair o v o. Ah and I walked past Christopher Sabat haha. He was an okay Vegeta imo.... but I still adore Brian Drummond's Vegeta * Q *
Only thing I bought at vendors was an SnK necklace of the two boxcutters~ I should've got the other necklaces of the garrison and military brigade emblems, since they were the only other things I saw SnK-related, and now i missed my chance ; 3 ;

Hmm what else... OH YA. So.. some negative stuffff. Cheeeee if you wanna tell my BL print is a disgrace to the anime its from, then would you kindly not say it to my face and ignore me while i'm sitting RIGHT THERE? OH and say its a disgrace repeatedly over and over AND OVER AGAIN?? D< I didn't want to start any conflict by speaking out, but UGH. Sorry, I don't think I'm gonna display any of my romance-ish BL posters from Non-BL shows ever. Haha that just basically means my KagaKuro one xP I made it last year, didn't get that much flack on it then, so I'm not good at handling stuff like that now.. sorry.
Oh so the discount passes I bought to go to events at the con were apparently for nothing? Not sure even now, but it seems that the artist alley ONLY wristband still allowed for everyone to go to places like vendors. I bought two one for me and my assistant :/ Granted they were discounted so not too expensive... but stiiiill... i'm cheeeap ; A ; ALSO since I'm a staff artist, apparently I was able to go to other places with the staff badge... I did not know that OTL ahhh so next time, I'm gonna make sure i get my facts straight >w>;;

Ah ya I was a staff artist, I didn't do much, I'm not super qualified for it OTL but yaaa I drew the art on the pink plastic bags given out to patrons~~ I didn't even notice it until later xP But yaaa it feels cool that everyone was holding it pretty much 0 v 0

All in all, thanks to everyone who also visited my table and said hi~ That includes friends, other artists, even the SnK cosplayers I talked to on ASAPA forums~ I had fun this year o v o Animethon will always be a highlight of the summers and I hope they keep getting better~~
AHHH can't think of anything else I wanted to say. Should go to sleep now.... lol.




....i'm moving.... gonna be independent (well to an extent).... in like... less than 2 weeks.................. why hasn't it sunk in yet...........
